Course Descriptions

Click on a topic below for the course description.

Our classes, by HCQU definition, are geared toward working with people who have mental retardation and/or developmental disabilities. Most of our classes last approximately two hours; for those that differ, the approximate length is listed beside the title. While we typically offer two classes per day, you are generally not required to attend both classes. You may choose to only attend the morning session, the afternoon session, or both. However, if the course description specifies a class length of more than 2 hours, you must attend the entire class to get credit. If there are two sessions listed for a particular class (ie. Respiratory Diseases Part I and Part II), Part II will generally build upon things learned in Part I, so attending both sessions may be required to receive credit.

While we do welcome walk-ins, registration is strongly recommended.
*** If we do not have a minimum of five people registered for a class 24 hours in advance, the class will be cancelled ***.
